DONATION POLICY
Middlesex County
Area Transit is establishing a voluntary donation
of a $1.00 per a one way trip or $2.00 round trip in order to comply
with various funding grant requirements. Passengers may donate more
of less if so desired. Lack of giving a donation will in no way affect
one's participation in the transportation services.
Self- addressed
envelopes will be available upon request and every MCAT vehicle will
have a supply of envelopes. Checks or money orders are to be made
out to the MIDDLESEX COUNTY TREASURER. Drivers will be instructed
NOT to accept envelopes, or cash donations.
Donations collected
will be deposited into a revenue account established by the Middlesex
County Treasurer and administrative staff will be responsible for maintaining
accurate financial records of all donations. All donations collected
will be utilized to enhance the current system or expand service.
