PASSPORTS:
In the State of New Jersey, each county has an office designated by
the Department of State as acceptance agents for the application of
a United States passport. All applicants must appear in person to execute
his or her passport. Both parents must be present for minors under age
16. Only one parent is needed for age 16 and older. For more information

PASSPORT
CARD:
As of February 1, 2008, the US Department of State introduced a new
travel document for US Citizens called the US Passport Card. This card
is valid for land and sea crossings between the US and Canada, Mexico,
Bermuda and the Caribbean only. Citizens traveling by sea are urged
to confirm with their cruise line to determine if any other ID is required
for travel. If traveling by air, citizens must apply for a Passport
Book.

COUNTY VETERAN'S SERVICE CARDS:
A courtesy service card is available to all veterans in acknowledgment
of service rendered to the United States of America.
STATE
OF N.J. NOTARY PUBLIC OATHS:
Our office administers oaths to individuals who reside in Middlesex
County and who have applied to the State of New Jersey to become a Notary
Public. There is a $15.00 filing fee.

NATURALIZATION
RECORDS:
The County Clerk's office has petitions of naturalization on file for
individuals who became United States citizens at the Middlesex County
Courthouse from 1806 through 1991. The microfilms are available to the
public for viewing, or, if the year of petition or naturalization is
