Middlesex County Neighborhood Arts Consortium ( MCNAC) is the first coalition of its kind in New Jersey.

Through the Consortium and funding from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the Cultural and Heritage Commission joins together local not-for-profit art organizations in a unique venture of cooperative cultural planning, promotion and audience development. This project links the public and private sectors, in order to offer arts activities to Middlesex County.

Looking for funding for your arts project?

Funding is available to support local arts groups and projects of high artistic quality that are offered by non-arts groups. Your group must be Middlesex County based and incorporated as a non-profit. It is essential that you hire professional NJ artists, consistently present arts programming to the residents of the County and conform to the ADA law - the Americans with Disabilities Act.

See our online applications guidelines and forms to download or email a request for the guidelines and application forms.

Local Arts

Commission sponsors a variety of cultural programs, with the goal of increasing opportunities for diverse audiences. We are particularly interested in the development of ethnic arts and the provision of opportunities and services to people with disabilities.

This project is designed to assure that the arts are accessible to underserved and new communities. LAD also provides opportunities for cooperative marketing and promotion. LAD projects include a project with the Hungarian American Athletic Club Folk Arts Dance Group; A.S.I.A. - a gathering of representatives from Asian cultures.
