Directions to the Cornelius Low House, Middlesex County Museum Visitor parking Area, Piscataway, New Jersey
Via New Jersey Turnpike [Exit 9, from north or south]
Turn off at Exit 9 (New Brunswick). Follow Route 18 North past New Brunswick and over J. Lynch Bridge to traffic light at River Road intersection. Continue straight, up hill on Metlars Lane to first left, Sutphen Road. Visitor's parking lot is on the left. Walk down paved Interpretive Path to reach museum.
Via Garden State Parkway [Exit 129, from north or south]
Turn off at Exit 129 (NJ Turnpike). Take Turnpike South to Exit 9. Follow directions from above.
Via Route 1 [from north or south]
Exit for Route 18 North. Follow Route 18 North past New Brunswick and over J. Lynch Bridge to traffic light
From East Jersey Olde Towne
From East Jersey Olde Towne parking lot, follow Johnson Park road to River Road at Old Hoes Lane. Turn right at light onto River Road. At second traffic light, turn left onto Metlars Lane. Follow directions from above.
Via Interstate 287 [new Exit 9, old Exit 5]
From 287 Northbound, turn off at new Exit 9 (Highland Park and Bound Brook). Turn left at light at end of exit ramp onto River Road south, toward Highland Park. Go through five more traffic lights. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Metlars Lane. Continue up hill to first left, Sutphen Road. Visitor's parking lot is on the left. Walk down paved path to reach museum.
From 287 Southbound, turn off at new Exit 9 (Highland Park and Bound Brook). Bear right at end of exit ramp, turning right onto River road south toward Highland Park. At fifth traffic light, turn left onto Metlars Lane. Follow directions above.
Visitors with Disabilities
Accessible parking is located next to museum. From Route 18 North over J. Lynch Bridge, turn left onto River Road. Museum entrance is the first driveway on the right. From Interstate 287, follow River Road south (to Highland Park). After traffic light at Landing Lane, turn left into museum driveway. The first floor of the museum is fully [ accessible].
