OMNIBUS
The Traveling Museum
Omnibus is a unique lending collection of portable exhibits, media programs, extension workshops and public talks. Omnibus is an outreach project of the Cornelius Low House , Middlesex County Museum and Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
SCHEDULING
Programs may be scheduled for a site within MIDDLESEX COUNTY, such as local elementary, middle and high schools; municipal sites; libraries; local historicsocieties; senior citizen and community centers; scout groups and local nonprofit organizations and more.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
The exhibits consist of mounted images and text, historical artifacts, photographs, posters and drawings packaged in easy to carry kits or displayed on light-weight kiosks. They are easy to handle and perfect for school groups or otherorganizations wishing an educational display. Media presentations are formatted as slides or VHS video.
PUBLIC TALKS
Some of the Omnibus projects are interactive workshops, suitable for students. These are conducted by staff, at your site. A limited number are available. Museum staff will travel to your site, conduct hands on workshops, lead discussions and answer questions.
