County’s Popular Ice Skating Rink Will Open for 8th Season

NOVEMBER 9, 2010 – Middlesex County’s popular Roosevelt Park Family Ice Skating Rink will open for its eighth season on Wednesday, Nov. 17. 

The rink is located at the Level Playing Fields Complex inside the County’s Roosevelt Park, which is adjacent to Menlo Park Mall in Edison.

Accredited group and private lessons are available. The rink is available for birthday parties and private events. Call 732-494-3785 for information and reservations.

Hours of operation are:
Wednesdays to Fridays                        5 to 9 p.m.

Saturdays                                             11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (session 1)
                                                            2 to 5 p.m. (session 2)
                                                            6 to 9 p.m. (session 3)

Sundays                                               Noon to 3 p.m. (session 1)
                                                                        4 to 7 p.m. (session 2)

The following dates will operate as follows:

Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 -  Saturday schedule
Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 through Saturday, Jan 1, 2011 – Saturday schedule
Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 – Sunday schedule
Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 – Sunday schedule

The rink is closed on Mondays (except for the Mondays listed above), Tuesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Per session admission is $6 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children 17 and under. Discounts are available for multi-session passes and groups.
