Administration

This Division consists of the following three primary functional units.

Administration
Staff handles the general administrative duties associated with the over-all office; i.e., timekeeper, payroll personnel and purchasing. Staff also oversees special projects for the Director, which require coordination and participation of all Divisions.

Data Management Function
The staff handles request from the public and private sectors for data, maps, and related information. Staff of this unit and the Technical Services unit combined serve as the clearinghouse for a majority of the Departments information requests. The Middlesex County Planning Department under a memo of agreement with the N.J. Dept. of Labor serves as the designated Affiliate State Data Center for Middlesex County. As such, staff provides a designated contact for Census and other demographic and economic statistics in Middlesex County. In this role, it also serves as the coordinating agency for pre-Census preparatory programs and the post-census data distribution to other County departments, municipalities and public libraries.

Technical Services Function
Staff handles public requests for maps and aerial photography and provides support services to the other divisions in preparation of graphics and maps.
