Prosecutor Bruce
Kaplan, in an effort to expand community awareness, has developed the
Middlesex Out-Reach and Education (M.O.R.E.) unit of the Middlesex County
Prosecutor's Office. This is a proactive unit which vigorously reaches
out to the citizenry of our county. It is the belief of this office,
that through education and cooperation between county residents and
law enforcement, a reduction in crime and violence can be achieved.
It is also the Prosecutor's belief that through outreach education the
community itself will be informed of the various types of criminal activity,
thereby providing a valuable resource to the law enforcement agencies
investigating and prosecuting these matters. M.O.R.E., in conjunction
with the local police departments, will operate under the premise that
the community and law enforcement is a necessary partnership.
During the 2003 calendar year M.O.R.E. conducted in excess of four
hundred (400) programs and special educational events
