Belt, pants may lead to identity
Middlesex
County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan
announced today that investigators have recovered a pair of designer pants and
belt that may help identify human remains that were found in a wooded area of
the township.
The ‘’Louis Vuitton’’ belt and ‘’Jet Lag’’ cargo-style
pants were found among the remains, which were discovered on September 23, 2010
by a man who contacted authorities at 2:15 p.m. after walking in a wooded area
near the Oakwood Plaza shopping center on Wood Avenue.
The ‘’Jet Lag’’ pants are either a dark green or dark blue
with a 33- to 34-inch waist. The ‘’Louis Vuitton’’ belt is brown with a plain
gold buckle. There is a gold, embossed ‘’
Edison Police, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and
the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office are working to identify the
remains.
