Body recovered from woods in Old Bridge

Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Old Bridge Police Chief Thomas H. Collow announced that police recovered the body of an unidentified female from a wooded area of the township this afternoon.

Police responded to the wooded area near residences on Springhill Road in Old Bridge after receiving a phone call at 1:28 p.m.

A search subsequently recovered the body. The woman’s identity has yet to be determined.

The death appears to be suspicious. An autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to be performed tomorrow, September 10, 2009.
