City man fatally stabbed

 

          Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and New Brunswick Police Director Peter Mangarella announced today that police are actively investigating the death of a city resident, who was stabbed to death on April 3, 2011.

 

          Benjamin Luis Gomez Mora, 27, of New Brunswick, was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick at 4:22 a.m. on April 3, 2011.

 

An investigation by Detective Kenneth Abode of the New Brunswick Police Department and Investigator Scott Crocco of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office began after police received a 911 call at 3:46 a.m.

 

Police arrived at Seaman Street, near the Remsen Avenue intersection, and found the victim on the sidewalk.

 

An autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office showed that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds and that his manner of death was homicide.

 

The investigation determined the stabbing occurred during a dispute on Seaman Street.

 

No arrests have been made, but the investigation is continuing.
