Ex-police dispatcher placed on probation

During a hearing at the Middlesex County Courthouse on June
28, 2010, Superior Court Judge Frederick DeVesa ordered Diamond to resign his
job with the police department and barred him from holding any public job in
the future.
Diamond was sentenced after he pleaded guilty on April 5,
2010, to a count of criminal mischief, admitting he
disconnected electric wiring from the back of the police dispatch radio system
on January 14, 2010, and, after repairs were made, cut the wires on January 15,
2010.
Diamond
agreed to plead guilty following negotiations with Middlesex County Assistant
Prosecutor Brian D. Gillet.
Diamond
was arrested and charged on January 15, 2010, following an investigation by Lt.
James Craparotta of the Jamesburg Police Department.
