Four arrested on drug
charges
Middlesex
County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan today announced that a joint investigation
with police departments in
Acting on information developed by
law enforcement authorities, members of the three police departments and the
Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force conducted a two-month
investigation into cocaine sales.
As a result, police executed search
warrants at two apartments at 128 North Broadway in South Amboy on February 20,
2009, at 6 p.m. and seized the cash and the cocaine, estimated to have a street
value of about $18,000.
Arrested and charged with
first-degree possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute the
cocaine in a school zone were Michael Carlisle (DOB 1/25/74) of 128 North
Broadway, Apartment B, and Jose Sosa (DOB 7/28/83) of 128 North Broadway, Apartment
A. Bail was set at $250,000 for each of the defendants.
Also arrested were James Jordan (DOB
2/3/74), also of 128 North Broadway, Apartment B, and Tyrese Bell (DOB 1/22/74)

As is the case for all defendants,
the charges filed against the four men are merely accusations and they are
presumed innocent until proven guilty.
