††††††††† Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Chief John Zebrowski of the Sayreville Police Department announced today that a fourth man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old South Amboy man who was killed during a dispute at a house party in Sayreville.

††††††††† Tarique S. Holmes (DOB 3/22/91) of Bayonne was charged on October 11, 2012, with conspiring to murder Randal Teron Smith, a 20-year-old South Amboy resident who was killed on July 21, 2012.

††††††††† Holmes initially was arrested and charged on October 3, 2012, with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon used in the fatal shooting.

††††††††† Since his arrest, Holmes has been held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick in lieu of $1.6 million bail.

††††††††† The conspiracy count was filed during a continuing investigation by Detective Richard Bellotti of the Sayreville Police Department and Investigator Adrian Villegas of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.

††††††††† Holmes is the fourth person to be arrested and charged following the shooting.

††††††††††† Samuel Frejuste (DOB 12/31/91) of Sayreville, Chad Vaughn (DOB 9/24/92) of South Amboy, and Emery Baskerville (DOB 7/7/92) of Bayonne were charged on July 27, 2012, with the murder conspiracy count.

††††††††††† They also have been charged with hindering their apprehension by lying to police during the investigation into the shooting of the victim.

††††††††††† Vaughn and Frejuste are each being held at the county correction center in lieu of $749,000 bail.

††††††††††† Baskerville is being held at the county facility on $1.5 million bail.

††††††††††† The investigation began after police received a call at 2:23 a.m. on July 21, 2012, alerting them to the shooting during the party at 11 Greenhill Avenue in Sayreville.

††††††††††† When police arrived, the victim was found on a neighbor's lawn. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead at 3:28 a.m.

††††††††††† More than 50 people were attending the house party when the dispute involving the victim began. People at the party began fleeing when an undisclosed number of shots were fired. The victim was outside the house when he was shot.
