Man charged with promoting prostitution

 

 

          Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan today announced that a Kenilworth man has been indicted by a grand jury in Middlesex County on charges of promoting prostitution at the Avenel-Colonia First Aid Squad.

 

          Stanley P. Misiuk (DOB 9/11/51) of Kenilworth was indicted on December 23, 2010 on three counts of promoting prostitution between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009.

 

The grand jury handed up the indictment following an investigation in which a Woodbridge police officer, acting undercover, determined that Misiuk offered prostitutes at an undisclosed number of parties that were held at the first aid squad.

 

He was arrested and charged on July 14, 2010 in Woodbridge. He was released from custody after posting $5,000 bail.

 

As is the case with all criminal defendants, Misiuk is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
