Man dies in auto crash in Monroe Township
Melvyn
Greenberg (DOB 9/7/48) was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:38 p.m.

preliminary investigation has determined that Mr. Greenberg, who was driving a
2008 Infinity G37, was traveling westbound on
The
car went through a field, across the front lawn of a private residence at
Shortly before the crash, a Monroe Township
police officer, on routine patrol, observed the vehicle traveling at what he
believed to be in excess of the speed limit and followed the vehicle, but was
unable to catch up to the Infinity before it crashed.
The
officer’s name is being withheld pending completion of the investigation.
An
autopsy is scheduled to be performed later today. The cause of death was not
immediately available.
