New Brunswick man fatally stabbed

 

 

          Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony A. Caputo announced today that a 60-year-old New Brunswick man was the victim of a fatal stabbing in the city on November 8, 2009.

 

          Mohammed Jabbie of New Brunswick was identified as the victim of the stabbing shortly before 12:03 a.m., when police received a 911 call and were dispatched to an address on Remsen Avenue in New Brunswick.

 

          Mr. Jabbie was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead at 2:33 p.m. on November 8.

 

          An autopsy performed by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office showed that Mr. Jabbie was the victim of a homicide and died from multiple stab wounds.

 

An investigation by Detective Dave Smith of the New Brunswick Police Department and Investigator Eleazar Ricardo of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Mr. Jabbie was visiting a friend and was stabbed outside the friend’s house.
