New Brunswick teen killed

 

††††††††† Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Anthony A. Caputo, director of the New Brunswick Police Department, announced that a New Brunswick teenager was killed this morning, the apparent victim of a stabbing.

 

Junio Moronto, 17, of New Brunswick was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead at 2:45 a.m.

 

The results of an autopsy performed by the Middlesex County Medical Examinerís Office were not immediately available, but a preliminary investigation determined the teenager had been stabbed.

 

The investigation began after New Brunswick police, on routine patrol, arrived at the intersection of Remsen Avenue and Hale Street in New Brunswick at 1:52 a.m. and found the victim laying on the ground.

 

He immediately was taken to the hospital.

 

The investigation is continuing, but no arrests have been made.
