††††††††† Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Anthony A.
Caputo, director of the New Brunswick Police Department, today released
surveillance photos of three people who may have information on the fatal
shooting of a city hospital worker in
three individuals, described as persons of interest, were seen in surveillance
videos in the vicinity of
††††††††† Anyone with information on the individuals is asked to call
Detective Mark Pappas of the New Brunswick Police Department at (732) 745-5200,
††††††††† Police began an investigation after receiving a 911 call at 1:56 a.m., on August 6, 2011, alerting them to the shooting.
††††††††† Mr. Simons was pronounced dead at 2:28 a.m. at
An autopsy performed by the Middlesex County Medical Examinerís Office determined that Mr. Simons was the victim of a shooting and that the manner of death was a homicide.
Mr. Simons had been employed at the hospital as a patient escort.
The investigation into his death is continuing, but no arrests have been made.
