Double homicide; suicide in Piscataway
Christa
Wahler, (DOB 12/19/63) and Dennis Marko, (DOB 11/4/67) both of
Police
were alerted to the incident when Wahler, of
A
preliminary investigation revealed that Krisinski, apparently distraught over a
recent break-up with Wahler, stabbed her and Marko repeatedly with a knife. Krisinski
then stabbed himself.
Wahler
and Krisinski were pronounced dead at the scene at 10:36 p.m. and 10:52 p.m.,
respectively, via telemetry by Dr. Abdel Malek of
Marko
was taken to
Police
further determined Wahler and Krisinski had lived together for about 1 ½ years
and separated when Wahler obtained a temporary restraining order against
Krisinski on February 22, 2009. Court records show the order was dismissed
March 10, 2009.
Wahler
was identified as the mother of two young children, who were not at home at the
time of the incident. She had been married, at one time, to a distant cousin of
Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler. She had been employed at EVA Tees in

Autopsies
are scheduled to be performed later today by the Middlesex County Medical
Examiner’s Office.
