Police investigate Dunellen shooting
County Acting Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Jeffrey Nelson of the
Dunellen Police Department announced that authorities are investigating the
shooting of a Dunellen man, who was wounded today after police arrived at a
house to arrest him on criminal charges filed in

As the officers attempted to apprehend the man, a struggle ensued. The man drew a weapon and was wounded. It should be noted that none of the police officers weapons was fired.
In accordance with state guidelines, the Middlesex County Prosecutorís Office immediately took control of the investigation and notified the state Office of the Attorney General.
The investigation is active and is continuing.
