Remains recovered from Raritan Center

 

††††††††† Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Robert Hubner, director of the Woodbridge Police Department, announced today that an investigation is underway to determine the identity of a person whose remains have been recovered from the shoreline of the Raritan River at the Raritan Center industrial complex.

 

Police were dispatched to the scene on May 20, 2013 after a surveyor who was working in the area discovered the remains and called authorities at 2 p.m.

 

The area was immediately cordoned off by police, who searched for and recovered the remains, which were taken to the Middlesex County Medical Examinerís Office for an examination to establish an identity and possible cause of death.

 

The investigation is active and is continuing.
