            The purpose of this press release is to provide additional information about the shooting of Jacob Olson by the South Brunswick Police on January 12, 2009. 

          The two officers who shot Olson have been identified as Frank Lombardo, age 40, a 14 year veteran of the South Brunswick Police Department, and Sean Roberts, age 29, who has been with the police department for one year and nine months.

          The two officers fired a total of six shots, with four of those shots striking Olson.  An autopsy revealed that Olson suffered gunshot wounds of the neck, pelvis, and lower extremities.

          This shooting remains under investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.  Anyone with information about it is asked to call Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Investigator James Mullin at (732) 745-4328.
