School teacher arrested on sex assault, child
endangerment charges
James I. Clancy, (DOB 2/2/74) of 39 Crampton Avenue,
Woodbridge, was arrested at Woodbridge Police Headquarters on November 11, 2009,
and was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and two counts
of endangering the welfare of the child.

James Kelly of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Robert
Ptaszynski of the Woodbridge Police Department determined that Clancy had
relations with the student in
He was charged with child endangerment for making lewd
comments and sending lewd e-mails to the student in
The investigation began a few days ago, after the matter
came to the attention of law enforcement.

against Clancy are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven
