Two men held following fatal shooting

 

 

          Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and North Brunswick Police Director Kenneth McCormick today announced that two men are being held after another man was shot and killed this morning outside an apartment complex in North Brunswick.

 

          The two men, whose identities are being withheld at this time, were taken into custody after they were apprehended in Edison following a police pursuit on Route 1.

 

A preliminary investigation determined that police in North Brunswick received a 911 call today at 11:45 a.m. and responded to the scene of the shooting outside the apartment complex on Boice Drive.

 

A man believed to be in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending the notification of his next-of-kin.

 

Shortly after police arrived at the apartment complex, Hearthwood at North Brunswick, they began the pursuit of the two men, who were in a vehicle traveling north on Route 1 in North Brunswick. They subsequently were apprehended in Edison.

 

No charges have been filed, but an investigation is continuing.
