Two more arrested, two others sought in New Brunswick homicide

††††††††† Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Anthony A. Caputo, director of the New Brunswick Police Department, announced today that police have arrested two additional suspects and are actively seeking two other men in the attempted robbery and fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man at a Robinson Street home nearly two weeks ago.

Police are searching for Michael Bailey (DOB 11/5/91) of New Brunswick and Zaid Joseph (DOB 1/24/92) of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick after charging them with felony murder in the slaying on September 27, 2012, of Joshua Zhou, 19, of New Brunswick.

Both men have remained at large since police initially identified them as suspects in the slaying.

Police also have apprehended and charged Jeffrey Andre Cook (DOB 11/10/92) and Larry Pena (DOB 7/17/93) with felony murder for their roles in the fatal shooting.

Cook was arrested and charged on October 1, 2012, and Pena was arrested and charged on October 2, 2012. Cook is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick in lieu of $1 million bail, while Pena is being held in lieu of $2 million bail at the county facility. Both men are residents of the Somerset section of Franklin Township.

The investigation into the shooting brings to five the number of men who have been charged.

Dawonne Cooper (DOB 5/4/90) of Fernwood Court, New Brunswick was charged on September 28, 2012, during the on-going investigation into the fatal shooting. He also is being held at the county jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

The five men were identified and charged during the investigation by Detective Kenneth Abode of the New Brunswick Police Department and Investigator Scott Crocco of the Middlesex County Prosecutorís Office.
