Woodbridge fire intentionally set; victim identified

 

Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department announced today that a fire at a house in the Menlo Park Terrace section of the township was intentionally set by a township man who was killed in the blaze.

 

Robert Nass, 56, of 33 Jefferson Street was identified as a victim in the fire that he intentionally set in the basement of the house on January 19, 2012.

 

An autopsy performed by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that he died from smoke inhalation.

 

A firefighter, Bruce Turcotte, 58, also died after he arrived at the scene of the blaze. An autopsy determined he died of natural causes.
