AIR POLLUTION
CONTROL PROGRAM
The Air Pollution
Control Program is charged with the responsibility for responding to
and implementing the necessary actions to abate any actual or potential
air pollution emissions. While the program’s main priority remains the
response to citizen complaints, the New Jersey Department of Environmental
Protection (NJDEP), recognizing the importance of local programs, has
expanded the Program’s responsibilities to include the inventorying
and inspection of facilities within the county that emit air toxins/
or are potential emitters of air toxins. This special project is in
addition to the Program’s responsibility for conducting compliance inspections
at minor and non-major "B" source facilities, gas stations and dry
cleaners.
